Known as the “Paradise of Earth”, Jammu & Kashmir is popular among tourists for its natural beauty scattered in the entire region. Jammu & Kashmir is situated in the northernmost part of India. It attracts a lot of tourists from across the globe. However, the state has failed to attract students due to lack of inadequate educational infrastructure.
Kashmir is the place where our old civilization, known as Indo-Aryanic civilization, had emerged and has been the centre of learning of Sanskrit and Persian.
The educational scenario of the state has suffered badly due to frequent insurgent operation by militants. Despites all these, the Government is trying to make people aware about education. Seasonal schools are operated for people residing in the hilly areas. Free education is provided to the poor children to facilitate education at the primary level.
The state is home to many prestigious institutes in the field of engineering, medicine and management. The state is moving closer to the modernization and prosperity in terms of educational development.
